Installation

Add repos

dnf install -y epel-release

dnf install -y https://mirrors.rpmfusion.org/free/el/rpmfusion-free-release-8.noarch.rpm https://mirrors.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/el/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-8.noarch.rpm

Install required packages

dnf localinstall -y https://repo.almalinux.org/almalinux/8/PowerTools/x86_64/os/Packages/SDL2-2.0.10-2.el8.x86_64.rpm

dnf install -y ffmpeg ffmpeg-devel

Download and Install jellyfin packages

wget https://repo.jellyfin.org/releases/server/centos/versions/stable/server/10.8.9/jellyfin-server-10.8.9-1.el7.x86_64.rpm

wget https://repo.jellyfin.org/releases/server/centos/versions/stable/web/10.8.9/jellyfin-web-10.8.9-1.el7.noarch.rpm

dnf localinstall -y jellyfin-server-*

dnf localinstall -y jellyfin-web-*

Enable and start service

systemctl enable --now jellyfin

Wait a little, check if the service with the listening port is up

systemctl status jellyfin

netstat -luptn

    ...
    tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:8096            0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      28302/jellyfin
    ...

Go to the web interface and follow the instructions

http://<jellyfin-server-IP>:8096
